How to be Saved
- Acknowledge – to admit to be true.
- Your Sins – all unrighteousness. Romans 3:23, For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.
- Repent- to be Godly sorry – sorry enough to quit wrongdoing. Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out…
- Confess – admit, own, reveal. 1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- Forsake – quit, give up, leave entirely alone once and for all, be willing for God to take all desire for sin away from you. Isaiah 55:7, Let the wicked forsake his way and the righteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord and He will have mercy upon him and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
- Believe – to rely on, to have faith and confidence in, to put yourself into the hands of another. Romans 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Acts 16:31, And they said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house.
- Accept – take, receive, to welcome, claim. John 1:12, But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. John 6:37, All that the Father giveth me shall come to me and him that cometh to Me, I will in no wise cast out. Revelation 3:20, Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man (this means you) hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him and will sup (abide) with him and he with Me. Luke 12:9, Whosoever shall confess Me before men , him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God.
Did you know that some of the toughest sinners in the Bible became the most dedicated followers of Jesus Christ??? There was Peter who was a cussing fisherman and one time turned his back on God (St. Matthew 26:69-75).
Then there was the adulterous woman caught in the very act and deserved to be stoned, but Jesus had mercy and told her to go and sin no more (St John 8:3-11).
Then we have Apostle Pl who in time past was the chief of inners. In his ignorance he worked hard to destroy the saints of God, but after seeing the mercy of God he dedicated his life to Jesus (Acts 8:1-4; 9:1-6)
No matter what you have done, Jesus will save you if you’re sincere.
Isaiah 43:25, I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake and will not remember thy sins.
The key is to find a strong believing church to grow in, 1 Peter 2:2, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. 2 Peter 3:18a, But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Feel free to join us; Mt Sinai Christian Fellowship, we want to be that church.
